On Tuesday February 9, Professor Alcibiades I. Kostakis visited the Maniatakeion Foundation in Athens. The purpose of his visit was to donate to Dimitris and Eleni Maniataki, Chairman and Vice Chairwoman of the Foundation, the volume issued in his honor by the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.

On Wednesday, January 27, 2016 the Hellenic-African Chamber of Commerce & Development celebrated its New Year's pitta cutting at the offices of the Chamber housed in the Maniatakeion Foundation. The event was attended by members of the Chamber and the Board, Honorary Consuls, the counselor of the Embassy N. Africa Mr. DuPlessis, the Head of the Commercial Department of the Embassy Mr. Anthony Mavridis, representatives of the Ministry of Development and Tourism, as well as diplomats and businessmen.

On Saturday, July 11, a number of Koroni high school students came to the offices of the Maniatakeion Foundation in Athens and took the Ariston, --a career aptitude test developed by an Athens University economics and business school team under Prof. Manolis Giannakoudakis and supported by Computer Academy. A Presidential Decree “On the Operation, Governance, and Management of the Church of Panagia Eleeistria in Koroni of the Holy Metropolis of Messinia” was published in the Government Gazette of July 10th, 2008, (First Issue, Number 121) effectively endowing the church with foundation status.
