ST-ART APP: A European network for the development of entrepreneurial skills in the field of Cultural Heritage

The European project ST-ART APP will begin on Wednesday, 20th, in Ravenna – Italy. Financed by the European Commission’s founds, ST-ART APP Project aims to develop entrepreneurial skills in Cultural Heritage field. The Mediterranean Diet: Inclusion in the UNESCO List

On Tuesday, 16 November 2010, the Mediterranean Diet was included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Its inclusion in the Representative List is important, not just for recognition of the importance of this dietary model and the history and tradition it reflects, but also because the Community of Koroni was the one chosen to represent Greece in the cross-border candidacy for inclusion of the Mediterranean Diet in the UNESCO Representative List. ‘St. Mark’s Lion’, the symbol of Venice from the entrance to the Church of Panagia Eleistria restored to upright position

As part of the work to landscape the Panagia Eleistria copse and church in Koroni, on Christmas Eve the Administrative Board and Commissioners of the Church of Panagia Eleistria took the initiative to raise 'St Mark's Lion', the symbol of Venice dating from the 15th century from the entrance to the church, and to re-erect it at the same location where it had lain fallen for more than 50 years.

The Board of Directors of the Maniatakeion Foundation decided to award prizes to all the pupils at the Koroni Lyceum in the 2008-2009 school year who attained a place at Greek universities and higher educational establishments. The prizes will be awarded the last 10 days of October at a ceremony which will be organised in collaboration with Koroni Lyceum.
